honestly realistically yes it is but it also depends on who the seller is and if they are stuck on the price they want and also the condition of the jeeps engine, tranny, etc.....

1500 is a okay price but you should be getting it at 1200 for a realistic price range

What has been replaced in the a/c system? The PO could have sunk close to $1500 in the a/c. What kind of maintence? A quick look under the rad cap and oil fill cap will tell u something about previous maintenance. Install a auto-locker and go where no 4X4 with open diffs or LSD can even think about going. Can u tell I'm partial to 4X2?......less maintenance, lighter, blah, blah.

G80 comes as an option in GM trucks? ii know that much, i did not know you could get it in a jeep. as for the oil and radiator cap, the pictures show good ones, so the bad ones will look like what?

That's just a video to demonstrate how a locking diff works. A auto-locker (not G80) can be installed in the XJ in a couple hours in the driveway. We installed a PowerTrax No-Slip but it's just one of several.

Rusty/brown coolant is not good and sludge under the oil cap's not good either.

Just tell him it is a high mileage 2wd Jeep and your willing to give him $1200, if he says no just drive home and wait for him to call you back... He will. If not call back crying and tell him your sorry and say 1500 is ok

so every one here says 1200 for some reason. i guess you all know more than i do. but i will try that. and if he says no, i will wait more and find another one.

i just cant wait.

and as a side note. does any one have a guess for the price of comprehensive insurance for a 19 year old is on a jeep like this. i pay $98 for my 2006 pontiac GP for comprehensive.

thanks!

On a $1200-$1500 vehicle, wouldn't minimum required liability be all that u would want?
