I'd recently hit an amazingly (and unusually) aggressive pothole while driving, and shortly afterward, in true Jeep fashion, "death wobble". During the shaking, my vehicle shut off; now she'll crank but won't start, and, in addition, I'm getting a "No BUS" message on my instrument cluster. I was both wondering and hoping that someone here has had a similar enough issue that they could possibly point me in the right direction to resolve this. So far, nothing that I've tried has yielded any results.

 

While there are a few possibilities to be sure, A NO BUS-NO START condition is often related to a failing crankshaft position sensor.

One quick test that may help you isolate this. Under the hood, locate and unplug the connector for the crank sensor. Now see if the NO-BUS message disappears. If NO-BUS is gone with the crank sensor disconnected, you have found your culprit and I would highly suggest you replace it with a Mopar crank sensor directly from Jeep. Aftermarket crank sensors are "hit and miss" with a lot of miss.
