Default From 2in blocks to 3in lift.

So at the moment my XJ got 2in blocks. This is how it was when i got it about 2 years ago. The leafs in the back are shot, so i wana go with a 3in lift. The reason for the 3in lift is to save $$$. So im looking about 500-600 bucks.

1. The guy put new shocks on it about 2 years ago with the blocks. Do i need new ones?

2. Will the 3in lift need aligned? Right now its at that 2in so how much will it change?

3. I think it has the stock stering stabliser and it rides fine.

Im sure ill have more questions but this is a start to prob a long long thread. Let me know what you master minds of the XJ world think.

Off topic: This websights making me addicted to my XJ.haha my girl friend is starting to say i love my jeep more then i do her.haha

You won't need anything special but I would replace the shocks since there 2 years old good luck man

So you think just springs,leafs, and shocks will get the job done?

For sure eventually u will want to get some lower control arms if you don't Already got some

Adjustable track bar is needed if you dont have one. Yes it will need to get realigned.

i just did a rc 3in lift with leafs. align was perfect b4 lift. and after lift!! i didnt need one. but every jeep different.

Wount it need the lower arms to push the axle back into the center of the wheel well?

not with a 3in lift. anything over that ull need longer LCA'S and a tracking bar.

Track Bar^.

You dont have to worry about much on a 3", it could only help to do what recommended, but it wont necessarily hurt it either.
