Default 242 rebuild and sye questions

So I had a replacement TC put in the other week only to find out that it too has problems. So the plan now is to rebuild the old one and swap it back in.

What I need is advice on what I will need to rebuild it. Master parts kit and a chain only or do I need more? Recommendations on where to get it from.
Do any rebuild kits come with an sye? Where can I get a sye for a 242? I've found plenty for 231, are they the same for both, interchangeable?

As always thanks for the help.

So my buddy is going to send me the instructions on how to rebuild the TC.
I'm confident that I can get it done. May have to ask for some help here and there, but it doesn't sound as impossible as I had thought.

Still can't find anything about a slip yoke eliminator for the 242 though. A google search only shows one company that makes it. There has to be more.

So does anyone know if the one for a 231 will work on a 242?
Also does getting a SYE mean I have to get a new rear drive shaft? If I do then I'm not sure if I want to go this route right now.

The question would be what is your lift height?

Yes you need a different driveshaft. It will look just like the front DL making it a constant velocity (CV) shaft. North West drive lines is a company I have gone through in my area.

Call Jeep Parts to find out the part number for a rebuild kit for the T/C then most anyone can cross-reference it to what they offer.

For an SYE call any major Suppler for Jeep aftermarket parts and you should be able find one for your app.
