242 to 231 tcase swap info
just want to give you guys a heads up on something I found today
when swapping in a 231 transfer case into the Jeep.
the studs connecting the transfer case to the transmission are shorter on the 231.
because of this, two bolts dont go through the shifter bracket enough to thread the nut.
I ended up pulling the studs from the 242 transfer case and using them on the 231
