231 vs 242

i have a 2001 cherokee its my wifes never off road daily driver. she got into accident and broke the 242 t case i have a 231j out of a 99 cherokee is there any problems with useing it

It'll bolt right in. You'll need to swap the shifter assembly and indicator bezel.
