I'd like to stay away from a manual tranny, i think it creates more of a distraction when i'm wheeling than anything, especially while i'm on the rocks. the C6 i have in mind is attached to the 205 that i have in mind so i'm not worried about that. As for the engine, my dad owns a machine shop so i can make the parts i need to adapt the transmission. I will look at the box4rocks doubler though, that sounds interesting

Yeah and take some build pics that would be cool. Your other option is maybe going to the ford 306, Im not sure if it was ever mated to the c6......I thought it had been.

 

well at this point i'm just rolling some ideas around in my head, trying to decide which is the best way to go. At this point my best equiped 4wd is a 78 ford high rise series with a 360 and manual tranny in it, but it doesnt run and I would much rather get my xj better equiped just to be original. However I dont really have the cash right now to be swapping parts whenever I break them, so I want to find a system that is the strongest I can possibly get for it and buy it all at once. I still have plenty of fun with my 3" tho
