Ok so I have wrecked 03 durango in my yard that I dont know what to do with, I cant fix it, but from the firewall back is all good. So I wanted to know if anyone knew what parts would fit on my 89 XJ if any. I know the dakota rear leafs give a 3in lift will the durango be the same since its the same frame. And any other parts I could use?

 

i think Durango seats would be nice to have in a Cherokee...

 

i know its in front of the firewall, but some people use durango power steering...

start parting it out to other people with durangos and buy some jeep parts haha, good luck

 

I'm not sure about all Durango's, but mine (01 RT) has rack and pinion steering. It's a crappy system that's best left to cars and I can't imagine why anyone would want it on a Cherokee.

As for the rest of it the seats are nice but you would have to adapt them to your stock seat brackets somehow. They are vastly different in that regard and could not be just bolted in. I think they are a bit wider too so you might have a clearance issue with the center console and door.

Other than that, the axles are crappy and too wide, the engines are ok but would be a pain to put in, and the transmissions are a giant POS, mine has been replaced twice and it's a common problem.

You'd be better off parting it out or selling it whole to a dismantler or someone who needs a lot of parts.
