2002 tps problem

2002 tps problem
I just replaced my tps on my 4.0 jeep grand cherokee and now it idles high 900 in drive and 1300 in neutral all vacum lines are connected and the truck idled fine before i replaced the tps because of check engine light was on now it's off

This forum is for the 84-01 Cherokee. (not the Grand)
But my feeling here is that you have a faulty new TPS. Where did you buy it? Engine management sensors can be of dubious quality in some parts stores.
I'd suggest taking it back and purchasing one from the Jeep dealer.
