2001 XJ, fel pro oil pan gasket
Gearing up to do oil pan gasket and rear main seal.
The fel pro gasket came with a note saying that 2000 and 2001 models require extra rtv around the rear main bearing cap. I know it needs some kind of sealant at the "4 corners". Anyone familiar with this?

To the best of my knowledge there is no difference in installation procedures between model years of the 4.0l.

You put a dab in the corner where the main cap and block meet on the rear. And on the seam between the timing chain cover and block in the front.
