Default 2001 XJ Brake Question

Good morning folks,

I'm curious to know what I will be looking at to upgrade to rear disc brakes at my local Pep Boys. Any idea what price range I should expect to pay?

Also, will these rims fit an 01 XJ? I like the look...

Thanks in advance!

Them wheels wont bolt right up you will have to buy spacers. From 5on5 to 5on4.5 for them to work, and rear disc swap you will have to find backing plates from a Zj, or kj and get the disc, calipers, rear brake hoses, and proportioning valve. It be high to buy it all new but if you find it at a pick and pull or salvage yard you can get everything cheap. I got everything under a $100.00.

I did my whole job from a local JY for $75, stripped down a 97 Grand, one of the best upgrades you can do. Go to a junkyard for the above parts, then buy new pads and rotors.

I too have a 2001 and have looked at the conversion kits and there are none for the 2001 because it has ABS. Could be that you may not be able to upgrade.

Do you have ABS sensors on the rear drums?

My 2001 is non-ABS.
