2001 Cherokee engine swap
First time posting on here. I have got so much help from reading the forum. I bought a 2001 Cherokee that is an automatic with a blown motor. I have another 2001 Cherokee that is a manual but they have swapped the engine to a different year and I cannot read the markings on the block to verify what year. Assuming the engine is from a 98-01 Cherokee would there be any real problems taking the engine from the manual and putting it in the automatic?

The markings are easy to see.
That said, do both engine buys match right now? Accessory location, intake, exhaust, throttle body etc?
Passenger side on a machined surface is the engine build date in a code.
Driver side in raised boss numbers is the part number for the blocks.
