have you checked the condition of your injector wiring. The insulation likes to breakdown where the wires exits the connector on the injector. On the older XJ's you can see the wire peeking thru the insulation. If your grounds are all good and the signal wires are not broken, spend some time checking for brittle or broken wires, you might start thinking about an ECU.
