Hi all: Don't know if this was ever covered b4,rear wiper very slow,sometimes stalls altogether,has to be cycled off by hand. Had gear mechanism apart,relubed(did'nt seem to really need it).Didnt really help. Running some penatrating oil down shaft(under wiper arm)does the trick,for about a week,then problem slowly comes back! Any one have a lasting solution other than replacing complete assm.??? Jerrops

 

Is there a nice solid 13.8 volts at the motor connector and a good ground? If so it's probably time for a new assembly.

 

I found a thread with pics on a forum a couple years ago on how to save a wiper motor. I'll see if I can find it. Both my Jeeps' rear wipers are getting intermittent now anyway.

 

Compstall, any chance you found that thread?
