2000 XJ - Turn Signals Work, Hazards Don't
My turn signals weren't working correctly so I replaced the flasher underneath the driver's side steering column. I thought this would fix the hazard problem also but it did not. When I turn on the hazards, I get nothing. No lights, nothing. The turn signals work like a champ now though.
Am I correct that the 2000 Cherokee uses a combination flasher for both turn signals and hazards? I have been reading a bunch of different forum and I can't be 100% if it's a combo or separate.

From the schematic im looking at, it is a combination flasher for the 2000 XJ. If you have no hazards but signals work all around. Id check your hazard switch for continuity.

It's not perfect, but it works so I'm leaving well enough alone.

On mine, if I turn the hazards on, only the left side works until I push the hazard switch forward and/or further sideways. Sometimes I have to do it a few times before it "sticks." And it's been that way since I bought the thing new in 2000. These switches were a poor design.
