While driving my Cherokee today (roundtrip 260 miles) under normal conditions, I lost my tachometer with the airbag light glowing red and eventually the check engine light and no bus (as pictured above). After pulling over it came back. This happened 5 times in the last 120 miles of my trip. Anyone else experience this? I've had my computer flashed in 2013 due to a "no bus" issue before where the jeep wouldn't even start and all the bells, lights, and whistles were going off.

 

Every time you are pulling off you are most likely hitting a few bumps that jostle the connectors on the gauge cluster back into place. Basically, need to remove the cluster, clean the connectors on both sides, and put it back together. If that simple fix does not fix it then it would be a broken CCD bus wire.

 

Did this ever get fixed? I have the same issue.
