I bought a 2000 xj and took a running motor out of a 98 to put in the 2000 and got the motor turning over but it isn’t getting any spark but I think the harness in the 2000 is for a coil rail motor how can I fix it and get my coil pack firing mine is a distributor motor I put in the jeep

 

did you keep the wiring harnesses from the 2000, if so then just put in and time the cam synchronizer ...also if you used the 1998 head on your 2000 exhaust, the pipes are too small and don't mate up correctly to the 0630 head, it will leak . you sadly need the 0331 crappy head to mate up correctly or look up 0331 adapter plate on internet. Lastly the injectors on the 98 are not the same flow as the 2000 a pound or two differentl
