I have a 2000 xj, 4x4, lifted 4.5 RC, automatic, running 33 bfg at's. I want to re-gear to 4:56. I know I have a c8.25 rear and a dana 30 front. Question is is it a high pass or a low pass diff? Do the 2000 come with both versions? It looks like a Lp to me... does this matter when purchasing gears? Sorry if this has been asked before I tried searching with no result. The front axel has been replaced, but I would think you'd have to put the same pass as the old back in unless you changed the length of the drive shaft. Please help.
