First off, hello to everyone. I just bought my first cherokee (2000 xj), and it has ice cold air, but no heat. Guy I bought it from drove it every day this past winter and said the heater worked great (several mutual friends all said heat worked). Let me say I have spent the last several hours researching this issue and a lot of threads have ended without the end results or the "fix" posted. New radiator, thermostat, blend door actuator is functioning (visually see it rotating), etc. I am going to flush the heater core tomorrow and see if this helps. Any other troubleshooting advice is greatly appreciated.

As previously stated, I have researched posts for hours so beat me up about a redundant post if you must, but any info will be helpful.

Have you checked the water pump at all?
According to the FSM, insufficient heat is a sign of water pump failure. Then again I just changed my water pump out during some regular maintenance and found that only one impeller blade was still intact, despite having no heat issues.

Are the heater supply and return hoses hot to the touch?
