ok so i have just bought this jeep and the guy before me said it had been sitting for about 6 mouth because the radiator was bad and didnt have time to fix it. so i fix the radiator and it will turn over (crank) but will not start ....checked codes on it and came up with P0443 and P0705 P0705 the second code came up 2 times and it stands for Neutral Safety Switch (NSS) so i replaced that and it still will not start. any info would be great thanks

 

well the most common cause for a crank but no start in the XJ is the Crank position sensor.....

can you hear the fuel pump? getting fuel to the fuel rail? getting spark on the plugs?.....

 

Check it for a strong blue spark and check the fuel pressure with a mechanical pressure gauge at the fuel rail. The pressure should be 49psi +or- 5psi.

 

A parked 2000 with a defective radiator? A radiator is $100 and takes about 30 minutes to change out, do a compression test before anything else.
