Default 2000 cherokee xj! Washed engine will not start!!!

Okay I Already Know.. I Shouldn't Have Done It, But Yeah I Pressure Washed My Engine Bay. It Was Not Running When I Done It, Probably A Bad Idea...
It Just Cranks And Cranks Until The Battery Dies, It Is Firing It's Almost Like Its Getting No Fuel. I Have Dried Out The Distributor And Plug Wires Still Nothing! I Sprayed Starting Fluid In The Intake And It Fired Right Up! Let It Idle For Around 5 Minutes And Drove It Down The Driveway And Back And It Ran Perfect, Shut It Off Now It Just Cranks.... I'm So Confused Please Help

Get a powerful fan, open the hood, and direct the fan into covering as much as the engine compartment as you can.

Let in run for a couple of days, moving it around every once in a while.

After that time, see if it will start and run.

Don't pressure wash your engine ever again.

Make sure the TPS is bone dry. You may have to replace it. Sounds like the injectors are firing in "run" but not "start".
That's possibly a bad TPS signal, thinking you have the pedal to the floor. (flood clear mode- injectors off)

Your 2000 has a distributor and plug wires?

I pressure wash my engine every time I ride. I even soak the whole engine bay in degreaser bfore I spray it. Whether it's a garden hose or pressure washer, im not shy about it.

There ain't anything wrong with doing it as long as everything is sealed the way it's supposed to b.

Ive had that happen to me.. usually pulling the spark plug wires off the distributer and blowing them out will fix it for me. Since putting dielectric grease on everything, no such problem has happened.

Still Isn't Starting, Weird Thing Is I Roll Started It Today And It Drove Fine. I Dried Out All The Sensors And Everything Still Nothing, It Tried To Start A Couple Times And Then Quit. I Roll Started it Again And Drove It Around 15 Miles And My Battery Light Stayed On The Entire Time... I Got Back Home Check Battery Had 12v, Then I Tried To Start It And it Would Barely Turn Over. Im Starting To Think Something Is Up With My Starter Maybe?

Sounds to me like the water built up corrosion on ur battery terminals, grounds, or one of the other connections leaving the positive side of the battery. Like the power distribution box, alt, or starter. Starter would b the last place I would. (Normally when I say that, its the first place u should go. Lol)
