2000 Cherokee XJ starting problem
When I start my xj it usually wont start till the 2nd try, lately it has been making a slow quiet grinding sound when i turn the ignition, right before it started up today it made a louder abrupt grinding sound. Tt starts up then and I have to give it some gas to get it going well. For the first little bit after I start it up it seems to bog a little bit, but drives fine and the longer I drive the better it gets. When I stop for a short amount of time and get back in it starts on the first try most of the time without the grinding sound.
I do have a code that says it needs new 02 sensors in the lower area before the mini cat, dunno if this would be causing a problem such as this.
anyone have any suggestions on what the problem may be?

yes it could the o2 sensors are what tell the engine what fuel air mixure it needs this will not cause the grinding but would certainly cause the engine to bog down.
