2000 Cherokee Sport light socket..
So ill just get to it since im new here. my left front turn signal i went to replace turns out the socket is actually bad as well,it was wet in there you can see it shorted . switched out the other socket to that connection and it works fine so it only the socket that needs replacing, problem is i cant find one anywhere...??.
went to all the auto parts stores around here and junkyards and couldnt find any....also all th either cherokees i saw only have 1 bulb for th efront turn where as the 2000 has 2.
anyone bless me with the knowledge to find such a part or will i need to got to a dealer...or rather replace more than just the socket?
thanks
frustratedly happy

I have a 2001 with the same issue. my front pass side had water in it and one of the socket tabs rusted off. I went to the dealership to buy two new sockets but they thought the sockets would come with the turn signal lamp, so i ordered it all but when i went to pick it up it was only the lamp(no sockets or bulbs like they thought) So they said i would have to get the whole wire harness to get the sockets. I didn't even ask how much lol. so now it looks like i'll try the local junk yards for a half way decent set of sockets.

if I have a problem like that, I take the part to my local NAPA store. I go to an attendent I know well and ask if he can perform a miracle for me.

Socket rusted out.
I have the same problem.
I have a 1999 Cherokee Sport, just got it. It has the same problem on the right side front parking light where both sockets have a tab rusted out and any new bulb will not work. Both sockets need replacing. I tried the internet, Napa, Auto Zone, Advanced Auto, Orileys and a large junk yard and not finding a replacement. I am trying more junk yards and the Jeep dealer. I figure the dealer will have to sell a full harness if they still can get it.

OEM
I checked the local Jeep dealership and they found the parking light socket to be part of a front end wiring harness which they could get for about $450. Ouch...that won't work.

I had a similar problem but with a honda prelude, the socket ended up being fine, just pour coke on the terminals I guess you would call it , to have a clean contact, then test to make sure it works. Then find the crack/leak and use clear silicone or somthing similar to seal it up. Other than that, I have no clue?

BINGO!!! I have everyone's answer. This socket fits 1998-2001 (maybe other years) Jeep Cherokees front turn signals where each signal lamp has two sockets. This is a 3 wire socket with the number 95023L stamped on the plastic and is made by Chrysler. I tried advanced auto, autozone, Orileys, NAPA, the Jeep dealership, and about 300 internet sites with no luck untill I talked with Chris at CarQuest in Columbia SC. He found it and it is Car Quest part number 57-4860 Socket Assembly and costs about $11. Apparently it fits some other crysler vehicles from 1994-2002. Cheers!
