Do yourself a favor and go out and buy a complete Chry 8.25 rearend. Dump that D35 POS the 8.25 is a lot stronger and a direct bolt-in if from an XJ, my 99 XJ has the 8.25 as many of the later model XJ's. I'm sure you have the D30 in the front and they are OK.

Well I am just looking to replace the spider gears for now to get it back onto the road without having to swap the whole rear axle any ideas as to why the spider gear will not come out?
