2000 Cherokee #2 Injector Control Circuit
I'm hoping one of you tech guys can give me some good advice...
My Jeep was running fine except for the A/C - which is another story - but a few weeks ago the Check Engine light came on. Brought it into the dealer, who said he got the code P20202 - #2 Injector Control Circuit. They replaced the wires from the injector to the PCM, ran it for 20 minutes and the code returned. I don't have much faith in these guys so I decided not to let them change the injector and PCM. On the way back from the shop it started running very rough and shaking violently. Haven't run it since but I love my Jeep and want it back!
Anybody have any ideas? Does replacing the injector and then the PCM sound right to you? If so, how can I find a good/reliable Jeep mechanic in my area (Grand Rapids, Michigan)?
Thanks!

Try swapping #2 injector with one of the others to see if the problem stays in that position or moves with the injector.
P202 means there's a fault with the injector, the injector wiring or the PCM injector driver.
You've already replaced the wiring, so try swapping injectors next.

Had the same issue with my '00 Cherokee recently, except with fuel injector three. I used the old shadetree trick of using a plastic handled flathead screwdriver as a stethoscope. I would firmly but lightly press the end to each injector, put my ear to the handle, and listen. I could hear that the number three injector was weaker than the others. So I took a chance, replaced the number three injector with a new one (an OEM style injector is $50 bucks at most parts stores), and that code hasn't come back since.
