20 hours of labor over a holiday weekend = happy Cherokee
fuel filter, O2 sensor, new valve cover gasket, tranny filter, drain/refill of all fluids, wires, plugs, rotor, cap... done on saturday.
new radiator installed after a system backflushing, plus temperature sending unit, coolant sending unit, thermostat, water pump, new hoses and a new mechanical fan clutch to completely redo my cooling system on sunday...
I'm a sloooow mechanic, I'm pretty green with a lot of this... so it took 2 days and about 20 hours of labor, but man does the jeep run smoothly, quietly and cool now. =)
My old beater cherokee should go another 50-60K miles now the way it's running
(Just need a new alternator, starter, exhaust system, and battery within the next few months :P )
And I got most of the info for doing all this from this forum (Plus my haynes manual)... so here's a general thanks to everyone for a great forum with great advice.
Thanks y'all =)
