Now before you tell me to look on the forum that there are hundreds of posts on this topic, calm down. I hace looked high and low but Have never found a straight answer.

First what is a good brand/size of tranny cooler if I do not do alot of heavy hauling just an occasional hay wagon or two or a drag race at stop lights.

Second, How good of an idea would it be to put a remote oil filter on the jeep so when I take off the filter it doesnt get my starter all oiled up.

www.summitracing.com will have the cooler for your needs. Leave the filter where it's at, you're only going to oil up where ever you move the filter to anyway and run the risk of a hose failing and then blowing oil everywhere.

No such thing as best (but I think it's a good one). The #70264 is 1 1/2" thick vs 3/4" thick. U get good cooling without covering a lot of the radiator. We mounted ours inline with and after the factory rad tranny cooler.

 

The stacked type of cooler that is pictured is better than the old coil and fin style.

 

Not my idea but use plastic bag around oil filter when loosening and then catch filter in it.

 

A can of brake cleaner will make quick work of any oil that may drip.
