ive got a teraflex 2" shackle and spacer lift. i love it. no issues..i wheel the crap out of it. my rockers are toast and ive got a bunch of body damage. the lift is still running strong though. but im goin for 4.5 and 35's by the end of summer..

 

I did the teraflex 2" with front spacers, and shackles in the rear. Cant tell a difference in the ride at all. Still feels like the factory setup, enough room for bigger tires. I did bushwhacker cutout flares and I could go 32x10.5 no problem at all. I only have 31x10.5 on mine but here is a pic.

 

i have a 2" budget lift myself. $250 well spent

i used rough country; new RC steering stabalizer, new front and rear RC8000 shocks, front 2" coil spacers, 2" rear shackles, then a added a leaf from a 1 ton pick up

its not bad ride at all.
i actually think that i have improved ride quality, which i am accounting for from the new shocks and stabalizer. plus i can "flex" slightly more when on the baby trails.

 

I got a 2'' coil and spacer lift for $90 and i like it alot. Im running 30x9.50.15 firestone desination a/ts, its no big mudder but for a DD it looks really nice compared to stock and im still getting 22mpg

 

I didn't think the shocks mattered at all when it came to supporting the rear end

 

I'm getting ready to do a 2'' lift. I haven't purchased on yet but my here's my question...I just put on Monroe Sensa Trac shocks all the way around; Can I keep the new shocks I just put on or do I need to switch them? Some lifts manufacturers state that stock size shocks will work with their lifts but I want to hear from someone who left the stock size shocks on and if they were happy with the results. Thanks for any input!

 

I installed Monroe sensatracks all around and 3 weeks after installed a 2" budget boost lift. Was able to keep the Monroe's and rides great.

Thanks for the info...I also just purchased a budget boost kit! It's the 2'' coil spacers and the 2'' shackle for the rear leafs. That should be fine for my use. I'm mostly just running the beach surf fishing. It just looks better then stock!

I just finished the 2'' lift and I left my newly installed Monroe Sensatrac shocks on. It seems to be fine but I've only driven under a 100 miles. The rear shocks seem like I could use another inch or two of travel. I would love to hear from someone who's been running Monroe Sensatracs on a 2'' BB lift for awhile and hopefully with no problems...I've been spending a lot a money on my XJ and last thing I want to do is replace brand new shocks!!!

 

I got a 2'' lift from ebay for $160 last year best 160$ i have spent on my jeep
it wakes up the rig i used to bottom out alot since the lift i have never bottomed out

 

I just bought a 2" spacer/shackle kit, new Skyjacker 7000 series shocks for a 2-3" lift and will be doing the install next Sat. Any helpful hints or things to avoid during install?
Does anyone have some input on axle shims to re-align the pumpkin & Transfer in/output shafts? I understand if they're out of phaseangle with one another that's where vibration comes from.
Also, steering stabilizer... replace it??
I plan on having the Toe-In adjusted

Any input/comments??

 

for that kind of lift, just be careful w/the rear upper shock bolts. they tend to rust and snap. spray lots of pb now. spray shackle bolts as they are a pita too.

other than that, not much. shims usually arent need for a 2" lift. stabilizer, it's your call. it just dampens the steering a bit, not a huge piece.
