~2 inch lift?
If I am going to end up needing shocks all around then I might just blow the cash and get the 3" lift kit from rough country. But if I can get away with a cheap-o 2" set up with spacers and shackles or blocks or add a leaf (whatever one will last longest and be the most effective) with no shock issues then ill do the 2" lift
two last questions just for less headaches.
When I get the kit. aside from a jack and some jack stands. Is there any other special tools that I might need? I don't want to get half way in and find out I need something.
Second, I should be able to do it all in one day as long as I have the day off, and have some friends help however, if for some reason I could only get half done, Is it ok to lift the front or back first and do the rest another day? (would front first or back first be safer/possible?)

for your first question- you'll need a spring compressor, muliple standard and metric wrenches(I cant remember exact sizes), lug wrench, probably some screwdrivers... I cant remember exactly what is needed I have so many tools available to me that I dont consider much a specialty tool. sorry
your second question- you should be able to get it done in one day. you will need help! one extra person is all you should need. start with the front only because its a little more difficult. if you cant get to the back the same day its no big deal its just gonna look funny. and its nice to do the front first because the back is so easy it doesnt feel like that big of a deal after doin the front. have fun and be safe. any other questions just let me know

Lug wrench I have but that reminds me... I need to go to a stupid tire shop or something and get those retarded locking lugs off of there. The previous owner put 1 locking lug on each wheel and lost the tool. @#$#5

yeah i did the same lol. but they're great to have. especially in this economy. people will try to steal anything they can make a few bucks off of. and when you start payin $200+ for tires you'll want them.

I would do the rear first if you can't finish in one day you can still drive it. If your doing add a leaf you will need a couple big c clamps. Good luck with it

I drove mine with only the front lifted for about two weeks... it really doesnt matter either way its more about preference. Like I said its nice to get the tough stuff out of the way first.. But either way will work just fine
so i guess its all personal preference...do I want the jeep to look funny leaning forward, or have it look funny leaning back. Eh hopefully Ill get it done all at once. It will be some time before I can afford the lift, plenty of time to start gathering tools until then.
