2.8 died on the highway
so far this 2.8 has been good for me, caused no problems until now. i was driving down the highway going about 65 mph and the motor shut off like someone turned off the ignition. numerous attempts to restart it and nothing.
could it be the fuel filter, or fuel pump? or could it be the ignition? how would i test the ignition system for proper operation?

Remove a sparkplug and insert it in the plug wire. Hold it against a good ground and have someone turn the engine over while you watch for a spark at the electrode.
Remember that you you need 3 basic things in order for your engine to run.
Spark
Air
Fuel

i checked the air fliter, tested 2 different spark plugs, and all was good. changed my fuel filter, still nothing. my truck has an electric fuel pump retrofit, so i tested that and the pump was fried. $85 later and were back on the road
