2.5 to 4.0 ho swap?

ive got a 85 xj 2.5 5spd. 4x4 and a donor 00 grand cherokee 2x4 4.0 i6 auto do u know what parts are swappable and what arent, my xj stopped running 6 months ago maybe bad carb. not sure but ready to move on any help would be appreciated thnx-newbee jeep freak
