1st gear buck?

1st gear buck?
Anyone with the 5speed manual just try driving very far in 1st gear? If I don't ride the clutch the gas gets really touchy and wants to buck.
Do you guys have the same issues? Is it a "just get more used to driving it" issue? I've had 5 speed manual cars before that didnt do it too bad at all.
