Hello, new to the forum. I'm hoping someone can help me out. As the title says, my jeep won't start. I turn the key and nothing. For the first while after this started, the ASD relay would chatter like crazy when I turned the key to the ON position. Now it has stopped doing that but still no crank. So far I have replaced: battery, starter, ignition switch, and tried swapping relays. I can't find any corrosion or bad wires anywhere obvious. Please help! p.s. it is a 5-speed so no NSS

Do you have 12V @ the starter? Have you checked and cleaned all the grounds?

 

It's a manual transmission. But I did replace clutch safety switch and still nothing.

 

I've checked every wire I could find and everything looks good. I haven't checked voltage at the starter yet. In hindsight I should have done that before replacing the starter, but I just assumed the starter solenoid was toast. With the testing that I did do, apparently I have a short in the IOD circuit which doesn't really narrow things down according to what I've read.
