98 with 152,000. It misses at idle but runs fine down the road at speed I'm leaning towards ignition coil or csp sensor? Been researching just want to narrow it down before I spend a lot of money on useless parts! It has newer distributor cap and plugs. I've pulled and checked the plugs and still look new. Any ideas I also have no cel light on I am going to have it scanned in case it is not working.

 

You said it has a newer plugs and dist cap how about the rotor and the wires. How old are those? Just tossing a few ideas. Also what brand and type of plugs. You should be running Champion or NGK copper plugs gaped at .035

 

Had this on my 160,000 mile '98 though there was a CEL and code claiming misfire on #6. I took the plug off injector #6 with no change to the poor idle. Took the plug off #4 and it got worse. Swapped #4 and #6 injector and now my problem was on #4 rather than #6...bad injector.

 

Had it scanned my cel does not work I have a p0303 code which is number 3 miss fire trying to narrow down the problem

 

Fixed #3 spark plug gapped at like .10 gapped all the plugs to spec runs like a dream. I feel soo stupid I over looked such a easy fix. Glad I started there first!!
