1998 sport breaking up/studdering??
First off let me apologize, I'm in the middle of Wharton state Forrest in the nj pine barrens with some friends on a wheeling/camping trip for the weekend and I am typing this post with no sleep, on my iPhone, in the woods lol.
On my way here about an hour straight driving, some stop and go but most highway(about 55mph). I noticed that while cruising if I give it a little gas to speed up it feels like its spuddering or breaking up but not real bad, when I floor it it sounds good but it doesn't feel like it has all the power it had before. My friends think it's a clogged/dirty injector but idk. What would usually cause these symptoms? There is no check engine light, not overheating, decent oil pressure. And my mods are a k&n fipk(po installed not me) a magnaflow cat(again po installed) and a dynomax cat back. What should I check? What do you guys think would be causing my symptoms?

I fired it up today, and it's ran fine all day wheeling. I'm probably going to sea foam my Cherokee and hope it never acts up again lol.

Sounds like a basic tune up would fix your problem. Change the fuel filter, put a bottle of fuel injector cleaner in the gas tank. New Dist. cap, rotor and plugs. See how well it's running after that. if it's still studdering. You can clean the throttle body and IAC valve. It might be time for a new O2 sensor or maybe a MAP sensor. Studdering is sometimes caused by a cracked or loose vacuum hose, too. Take a good scan of the intake manifold area to check for this.
