Hey Everybody!
Ok. My dad had been using this car for a couple years. But when he got a new car. He gave this Cherokee to me to fix and use! This is fantastic news to a 15 year old who wouldn't otherwise be able to afford a car. So. Our goal was to have the car running 100% Before June of 2014. So. If i could have help with any of the following problems. That would be great.
1)The instrument cluster has been out and will not give you any informations whatsoever. Its fully illuminated. But the gauges do not move. They randomly work for a few seconds. And then will shut off again.
2)The front right speaker will not work. It is somewhere in the wiring. But was wondering if any of you had this problem.
3)Heater Core replacement strategy.
This 3 things are crucial to fix (not the speaker i guess...)

Gauge cluster could be just a loos connection, something you can check when you do the heater core. Heater core is not too difficult, just time consuming. You need to pretty much remove the whole dash. Keep track of your screws and wiring harness and it shouldn't be a problem. Speaker problem is usually broken wires in the door jam inside the rubber boot. As they age they can become brittle and the bending they go through every time the door is opened causes them to break there.

Gauge cluster is likely the connector on the back- corroded, might need the pins re-soldered. If smacking the cluster with your fist (not too hard!) gets it working- that's what it is.

unfortunately this gets most things working again in my XJ haha
Update-
Gauge cluster was fixed my replacing it with another panel found at a junk yard. Keep in mind that im 15 and i took apart thedash and reassembled everything by myself.
Front right speaker was fixed by an alternate ground location. So now i have nice treble to match my subs.
Heater core has not been bothered with. I would need further guidance. So if one of yall would like to call me and help me through it. That would be pretty awesome.

Another problem would be the automatic locks to the Passenger, and both rear doors not working. Im making a trip to the junk yard tomorrow. So maybe i can get some parts.
