Recently bought a 97 Cherokee. Noticed first that dash warning lights came on intermittently and that gages would occasionally flatline and attributed it to bad connections. Just today the check engine light came on and I began to lose power around 50mph (was on the highway). It felt like it was trying to downshift so I stomped the gas and it revved up and I kept going. It happened again a few miles down the road. Being not very mechanically savvy, any info would be great. Thanx!
