Out in the Pull-A-Part, I had only a 1994, 1998, and 1999 to choose from. Am looking for the supply line from filter to fuel rail.
The 1994 had a pretty weird looking fuel line setup. Two full sized lines (guess one is a return line) so did not even bother with that aspect of it. I did snag the driver's side caliper and line all the way back to master from it, passenger caliper and soft line, brake line from rear axle to master including the soft line there. Also the vapor line from tank to engine compartment. Also snagged the fuel filter bracket (needs a 10 schmillimeter AND an 11 schmillimeter to remove).
The 1998 and 1999s had the same fitting and weird rubber connection from rail to the metal line, clip to the intake manifold looked the same, but the filter end looked like it was bent different. IIRC, the pump and tank arrangement is different than mine, but that is aft of the filter. Also, there is a crazy box with lines in and out under the rear seat driver's side. The 1998 had extra bracketry along the driver's side rocker/frame rails with all the front to back plumbing behind it.
Are 1998/1999 front to back fuel lines the same pattern as 1996?
Year: 1998 Classic (I'll get it running soon....) and 02 Grand
Model: Cherokee (XJ)
Engine: 4.0
Well, Mr. Six, I' think I may have you covered. I happen to have a 1996 and a 1998 XJ sitting right here, and I know how to take pictures. Here's a couple to get you started.

What other pics do you need?
Thank you and I had a camera with me, but in the heat of destruction I forgot to use it, lol.
My worry was back where the line goes to the fuel filter. Wasn't sure if the hard line was routed the same back there.
Also, the 1998 I saw had a bunch of bracketery along the rail, didn't examine right off how to get that off to free the plumbing. All of the front to back fluid lines were behind it.
