1996 XJ Country - Pulling hard to the right??
I have a 96 Country that has a hard pull to the right while driving at high and low speeds. It is not just when I brake. I was going to take it to Dobbs since I am clueless when it comes to this part of the jeep and wondering if anyone had any thoughts. I was thinking either a tire (it's looks okay, but I can't get it in the air to see if it has any bulges), a shock, or the steering wheel stabilizer. Any thoughts or ideas??
Thanks
Thanks

don't change the tires first, that is a boat load of money you msay not have to spend. Unless the tread is wore in a weird pattern the tires are fine. Your problem is with caster and camber, toe does not cause a pull when driving. Camber and caster is your problem. Did you recently lift the jeep? or change any steering components. I would have it aligned and ches=ck ball joints for excessive play.

Have a reputable (not the "Best deal in town" ) alignment shop inspect all your TRE's and Have them align it. I can tell you right now its not your tires... The front of your tires should be 1/8" closer together than the back of your tires (toe in ). Caster and camber are not adjustable (unless you have adjustable control arms) so you would have to have a bad Balljoint or maybe even a bad wheel bearing, but thats unlikely.
