Default 1996 Passenger Window not working

Okay guys I have an issue with my Passenger window on my 1996. It currently will not roll down from my drivers side and is luckily stuck rolled up. The tricky part is its actually missing the passenger
side power switches (Bought it like that) so I cant see if it's an issue with that switch. The window would work occasionally before hand rolling it up and down from driver side power switches. I just ordered a new regulator and switches for the passenger side today. Does it sound like this might correct the problem? Any input or suggestions would be appreciated!

A broken window is either 4 things.

-Window Motor Broken
-Broken Switch
-Broken Wires inside the door boot
-Window off track

To test the motor, run a wire from your + battery terminal to one of the prongs on the wire harness. Run a second wire from the second prong to a suitable ground. By switching the wires you can control the window either up or down.

To test the switch, is a bit more complicated. You will need to pull up the factory service manual. Somewhere in there is the continuity tests for the window switch. I recently had this issue and continuity tests told me the switch was bad. I re- soldered the circuit board and it fixed the problem.

To test the wires get an ohm meter and run a continuity test with your leads on each prong. If there is a broken wire you will get a reading of infinity meaning the circuit is incomplete. Take off the boot in between the door and visually inspect the wires. They tend to break in there all the time.

If you can hear the window motor running when you hit the switch, the window might have fallen off track. You'll have to take off the door panel trim and remove the bolts holding the motor/regulator in to re position the window.

good luck.
