Default 1996 master control power window and lock switch

Just joined tonight, really hoping someone here can point me in the right direction. Took the switches out from the bezel, and then out individually from the plate all the posts are connected through. All windows except drivers were working from the master and from door switches before I pulled the cluster apart. I tested each switch on door lock posts and they all worked. Put the switches back in and now no windows work. Is anyone familiar with this...? I can take pics or clarify further if needed. Hope we don't get rain soon. Thanks.....

I looked at a lot of those threads before I posted, however, I don't want to bypass a switch because they all work, I just don't know which way they go in the cluster. I can stick a switch in the door lock spot and it will work, but I'm pretty sure the switches have to all be connected with this metal backing plAte for the windows to work.

Yes. But I took the switch cluster from the bezel and then pried the switches from the plate and don't remember how they went.

Looked through the parts list, I see all in door parts, but no harness or schematic on how the switch cluster is arranged

can you post a picture?

I know what youre talking about, but just want to make sure your switches are the same (they probably are).

the switches can be put in upside down and still work the same way once connected up to the harness.

make sure with a multimeter that you have connection through all the posts to the metal plate that connects the 5 window related switches

thats the first plate, then there is the paper spacer, then another plate.
where are you finding these diagrams? I searched google with every key word i could think of and decided to join the forum. I have so many other questions other than this window but, one thing at a time.
