1996 jeep parts in 2000 jeep
My 1996 Jeep Cherokee was totaled a week ago and I am wondering if it is worth it to buy it from the insurance company for $230. Damage was to the front end and left front fender. I’ve taken very good care of this Jeep and the engine has about 150,000 miles on it. Plenty of new parts also. I am looking at a 2000 Jeep Cherokee that has the same in-line engine. Should I take the usable parts out of my old Jeep and part them out and/or save them. Will all the parts fit in the 2000. What problems did the 2000 have that I should check for? It $5495.with 147,000 is that price OK.

5500 is too much for a 2000 with 147K miles, '00 and '01 are known to have a bad head that cracks. Since 96 is an odd ball year try to find 96-99
