1996 Cherokee liftgate hinges
I took the plunge and had the roof replaced. For some reason the liftgate is rubbing on the lower latch when I try closing the liftgate, then it's hard to open again. Looking at the schematics I see I don't have the #2 gasket. I can't find them anywhere. Any suggestions?

Might want to order the thickness you think you need and cut your own.
By "rubbing" I'm assuming you mean the top surface of the latch (bolted to the sill) is contacting the deepest surface of the liftgate mechanism, and the rubber gaskets you're missing will raise the entire liftgate away enough to prevent this from occurring. Sounds reasonable if that's what's happening. I'd source a couple thicknesses of rubber sheeting and start with the thinnest to see if that resolves the problem. The 2nd link might be my 1st choice.
