Default 1995 XJ blower fan wiring help

I've had this jeep for almost 2 years. Blower Fan was always a Hi-only and I dealt with it. A few months ago it goes out completely. I find the blower resistor shown below with lots of burning. I opened up the dash a few days ago and there was burning around the fan selector switch. I replaced the resistor and put a new yellow female spade connector for the burnt voltage. Turned it on the blower sort of worked for a minute, then stopped and yes a burning smell. Is this a bad blower motor problem thats pulling too much? For the few seconds the motor ran it did sound a bit labored but i was thinking because it hadn't run in a while.

When the blower resistor fries it's normal to have high speed only.. The high setting doesn't use the resistor, it's a direct connection. I'd say your blower motor is bad.
