Default 1994 xj sport seatbelt fix

I recently replaced the seat belt in the front driver position in my cherokee with a jy replacement and thought the 45$ price was quite expensive as the problem was the cheap thin metal strip they used to make the retaining spring out of. Anyway my question is does anybody know if that seatbelt buckle is model RCF-67 im currently away from my jeep but things are contantly running through my head.

I would say google it or search on this forum using the search feature. Aside from that, I dont know too many people who would know that off hand without some research including me!

its actually marked on the back of the buckle i believe. And ive done a ton of searching on the forum and elsewhere and have had no luck, The reason i was asking here is that with the seatbelt issue being a pretty common problem i figured somebody might know. Thanks for your response though as i am currently unable to look at the vehicle and was actually trying to find a source on a cheaper seatbelt fix for these older style seatbelts. If anybody has any more information related to the model number of the older style seatbelt please let me know.

So i have done some more looking into this potential fix and it seems it would work, so i will go into more detail now i would take pictures but i dont have a digital camera right now. Anyway if you own a jeep cherokee with the older style gen1 seat belt buckle(gm style) also know by part number RCF-67 by some seatbelt manufacturers you either had this problem or will have this problem as its a part that is bound to fail. There is a tiny spring inside the seatbelt buckle that allows the tab end to lock it it pushes the button back up after being depressed as well. well this spring breaks and you cant usually buy just the buckle end of the seat belt except at a jy and 2 weeks ago i had to just this and was suprised by the 45$ price tag they had assigned to this part. Well like many others im sure have thought of doing was to take one from the back seat only to find that it is a different mounting style. After several hours of swearing and cussing and stomping around i stumbled on a somewhat cheaper fix. Now if you have a cheap connection to this type of part cool, me i do not i went to jys all over and most asked the same for this part. With that being said i found that the seatbelt belts made for clothing using genuine parts are infact the same buckle end as our old gen1 xj style. thay can easilly be take apart and put back togather after scavenging the spring out of the other one and then put back togather i know the belt run 20$ or so, and are available online from many site simply look for "buckle down" brand dodge belt they will have a genuine dodge label on the back. They can also be found in skateboard shops and such think teenager clothing stores also. now its half the price of the jy assembly if you just need the spring and can figure out how to get it apart if you have questions pm me.
http://shoeshopz.com/detail/p_B001NV...belt-Belt.html site provided for picture link only and they dont have to be the jeep one but i just orded this one as it was the first i had seen i have previously owned several others if you are interested in the belt you can get nearly any manufacturers name on them if you look around and they are real honest to goodness TRW RCF-67 seatbelt buckles not just a look alike.
