Default 1993 Cherokee fuel pump problems

Hello the fuel pump went out on my 1993 Jeep Cherokee so I already have a 1995 Cherokee parts car with 107,000 miles. My question is can I transfer the 95 Cherokee gas tank with fuel pump to the 93? They both have 4.0 High output I-6 fuel injected. The gas tanks appear to be the same size. How can I find out if the fuel pumps are the same or different? Any help would be much appreciated.

If the 95 has the pump mounted on the front of the tank, (not on top), and your FPR is on the front of the fuel rail, they can swap. I do think you are good to go there. See>

Probably a waste of time to replace an old fuel pump with another old fuel pump of questionable history. It's better to be stranded in the drive than the side of the road.

Thanks Turbo but I read that the after market fuel pumps can and do fail at times so I figured putting a factory pump with 107,000 on it would maybe be the best bet. I'm not looking to get another 100,000 out of it.
