1993 cherokee drivebelt issue

1993 cherokee drivebelt issue
I installed a new serpentine belt and now the belt rubs on itself between the idler pulley and the water pump pulley. The thing squeaks like crazy. Any suggestions would be helpful.

If the old belt wasn't doing this and you have the tension set reasonably tight, you must not have gotten it on correctly. Do you have a routing diagram on the shroud or in a manual?
Were you having any problems (squealing or otherwise) with the old belt and did you mess with the idler pulley while the belt was off?
