This is my first post so if I'm not playing the game right I'm sure I'll hear about it. I've run into a wall as I'm trying to replace the evaporator in my 92 Cherokee. The one I ordered and received is a 'plate and fin' design but the original is a 'tube and fin' design. The one I received is slightly too big and doesn't fit in the case. As I look at all the suppliers on the web, they're all showing pictures of the plate and fin style that's too big. Apparently, I didn't get the memo. What am I missing?

 

Since posting this, I came up with a solution for modifying the air box to work with the evaporator. Just aggravating that all of the evaporator sources are selling the same product as fitting the 91-96 Cherokees and it doesn't.
