Hello, so I recently bought a 92 Cherokee, it wasnt running at the get go(bad fuel pump) replaced it and threw a new battery in and she run like a champ. I drove it for about 3 or for days ran to the autoparts store and when i came back out it wouldnt start. Its cranks, but it has no spark, i replaced the cps, ignition coil, and put a new distributor in, still has bo spark and the fuel pump is kicking on, so now im stumped, tried using starting fluid thinking it may have spark and nothing. Any ideas what it may be, thank you in advanced.i forgot to mention the plugs and wires were replaced as well and i was moving around relays thinking it might help.

 

Did you visually or with a timing light verify no spark? Work you way backwards. Plug wires on right? Coil getting power? Check fuses, check for shorts, bad grounds.

Do you smell fuel when you crank?

 

so it changed every part before hand one by one to see if they were the problem , the distributor I just did and i changed last night, did the bring piston #1 to to top and put the little slit for the distributor at the 11 o’clock position. Its still has no soark but the fuel pump stopped working now, so i hard wired it and its working fine.
