Hey guys I'm getting ready to do a 5-speed swap on my 92 4.0 h.o. Xj and I want to know what I'll need. Here's a list of stuff I think I'll need, let me know if I'm missing anything.
Manual tranny with throw out bearing arm, master/slave and lines, pedal assy, clutch kit, and tranny mount for x-member.
What I want to know is 1) do I need an ax-15 or will a Peugeot from an 88 work? 2)do these trannys have throw out bearing arms or hydraulic throw outs? 3)are the driveshafts the same length from my original aw4 to the 5-speed? 4)will my np231 bolt right up or do I need an adapter plate? Thanks for the help guys can't wait for a response!

Can someone give me a list of parts that are DIRECT bolt in with no frankenstiening. Should. Just look for a 92 xj at the bone yard and rape it for parts?

 

That would be best bet or buy donor vechicle. still gotta get the throw out bearing .Its not a over counter part .Advanced Adapters.....
